This place is horrible if you want chicken. This was literally the first time I ever bought chicken from this place and its incredibly stale and it feels like im chewing rubber. This chicken is inedible and after spending $15 for 5 tenders and a few wedges I shouldnt have to worry about my chicken tasting bad, MUCH LESS IT BEING INEDIBLE.

Extremely disappointed with the service the manager, “DEBBIE”, offered at this location. Purchased 2 gallons of diesel oil (10w40) at a royal farms location in the state of Maryland after I experienced some issues with my work vehicle ( a tractor) and realized I purchased the wrong ones. Mind you, they’re about 32 dollars each. So I get back home to Richmond and try to return them, receipt in hand, and Debbie refuses to honor a refund although I had the receipt in hand. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until I gave push back and told her the mechanicsville turnpike location said I could go to any store that all of a sudden she was willing to honor the refund. Long story short, I got a refund for the oil but was very disturbed by the treatment and service Debbie offered me today!

I'm not sure how this mistake was made. Maybe the employee(s) were not paying attention or something. I ordered a spicy mashed potato bowl and a spicy BLT sandwich. They are clearly on my receipt. Somehow, they gave me a Mac and cheese bowl with one or two pieces of chicken that looked like they were torn up. I had high expectations for this place since my coworkers spoke so highly of it, I guess next time I have to inspect my food first, which I'm sure I'll be judged for it, but hey I wouldn't adopt this behavior if my order had been done correctly.

The billboard influenced me. Allow me to deinfluence you. I got a Chesapeake chicken slider, Western Fries, and Mac & Cheese. The chicken slider was decent. The chicken tenders tasted like your usual grocery store chicken but was boosted by the Chesapeake sauce which was like a Old Bay remoulade of some sort. Maybe the regular bone in fried chicken would be better but I'm not optimistic. The fries (pictured) were truly trash. The seasoning was good but they're significantly thicker than any potato wedges I've ever had. The batter? on the outside was flaking off and seemed underdone. Let this be your one take away from this long review. Don't get the Western fries. You know Wawa Mac & Cheese? Royal farms is the same. Decent, passable, able to call itself Mac & cheese because it has the ingredients of macaroni and cheese but definitely not worth seeking out. All in all you get about what you'd expect from your usual gas station/grocery store deli food

I've been to plenty of Royal Farms & never had a bad experience until I go to the newest I've ever been to. Of course, the location was super clean, it's brand spanking new. I had super high hopes just knowing it was gonna be a Royal Farms opening in a reasonable distance from me. Was super let down by having such high hopes. I should've known something was up when the elder in front of me came back to complaining about his chicken. I too, would have the exact same problem with small & dry wings. Over $2 for a tiny whole wing the size of a winglett is kinda ridiculous, especially for it not to be good. This Royal Farms doesn't live up to the standards that the company seems to share across the board. You can get this stuff off with folks that's never been before but those that have its not gonna hit like you expecting it should.
